This Is A Turbo Four-Cylinder Engine In A C6 Corvette Race Car
MaxxTuning put up a video of the team testing out the new drivetrain on its in-house dyno, and—shockingly—it sounds nothing like a Corvette.
Thanks to 14.5 psi of boost and E75 fuel, the turbo-four's able to make around 470 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque at the crank. That's 70 more horsepower and 20 more lb.-ft. than what the stock LS2 pushed out. Not bad for having 50 percent fewer cylinders to work with.
