The Iconic James Bond Original 1965 Aston Martin DB5 Heads To Auction

Bond, James Bond. The only other thing as iconic as that line is the 1965 Aston Martin DB5 he drove. And the original is now headed to auction.

This is one of four cars purchased by Eon studios after the launch of Goldfinger. The DB5 has been restored back by the restoration experts at Roos Engineering, one of just 13 Aston Martin Heritage Specialists in the world. Keeping true to Bond specs, the restoration included fully functional special effects gadgetry like guns and smokescreens.

Current estimates are being placed at a price between $4 and $6 million for the legendary vehicle. “The Most Famous Car in the World” crosses the block at Sotheby’s in Montery August 15-17, 2019.
