The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon Uses The A/C To Cool The Engine!

Dodge has just released another teaser video for the new 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon called “No Ice.”

The video is only 15 seconds long and is fully dedicated to the Demon’s cold air induction system. Instead of using regular air or coolant to cool all of the gases flowing through the intercooler, it will use a “liquid-to-air” system. In drag mode, this system diverts the cool liquid from the A/C system to help bring down the temperature of the air that the engine is about to consume.

Dodge has claimed that this system can bring down intake temperatures by as much as 45 degrees Fahrenheit!

Why is this important?

Well, since cold air is more dense than warm air, there will be more oxygen per unit of measurement, which means the engine can make significantly more power using cold air rather than warm air.

Now that’s awesome!
