Movement #BURNOUTSFORWYATT Goes Global In Support Of 4-Year-Old Cancer Patient

Things like this are what make the automotive community so cool. The hashtag #burnoutsforwyatt started trending across the internet in support of 4-year-old Wyatt Spann.

The story behind #burnoutsforwyatt started back in 2018 with a post by Greg and Christy Spann, Wyatt’s parents. Wyatt was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma which is a very aggressive brain cancer that had spread down his spine.

This burnout is for my man, Wyatt. He’s 4 years old and has been sent home from the hospital with terminal brain cancer. His most favorite thing is a good ol’ burnout. I hope this finds its way to him. Please share. #burnoutsforwyatt #thisonesforyou #hangintherebuddy

Two years later and Wyatt is a global sensation. He’s battled 7 rounds of chemo, stem cell transplant, and radiation along with his regular scans and surgeries.

Since Wyatt has such a love of burnouts, the hashtag was a no brainer. The hashtag picked up momentum as people started burning rubber and posting videos with the #burnoutsforwyatt.

It didn’t take long before there were tens of thousands of videos of people doing burnouts for little Wyatt. It even reached celebrities like Alex Laughlin and NASCAR’s Joey Logano who were happy to shred their tires and send support Wyatt’s way.
