Michelin’s New Airless Futuristic Tire Is So Cool!

As the days continue to pass by, there are more and more technology advancements everywhere around us. Whether it be the next high-tech smartphone, electric car or whatever, the future is definitely advancing FAST! The world around us is changing and for the better! A lot of companies are now using recycled & natural materials to produce anything from shoes to tires!

Michelin, as well as other tire companies, are always trying to advance the tire because that’s what they do. But how do you advance a tire anymore than it already is? You re-invent the tire as we know it of course! Michelin has just introduced its new airless tire concept and it’s really cool!

It’s an airless, rechargeable, 3-D printed tire. It’s developed from bio-sourced, biodegradable recycled materials. What’s even more amazing about this new technology is that the tires are actually reprogrammable. As seen in the video, a tire 3-D printing station can physically reconstruct the tread on the tires to tackle a desired terrain, which is absolutely amazing. With an airless tire, you wouldn’t have to worry about getting a flat! With a reprogrammable tire you wouldn’t have to worry about buying separate tires with a different tread. With a biodegradable tire, the environment would greatly benefit.
