It’s Illegal To Drive Under The Speed Limit In The Left Lane

There’s nothing more irritating than getting in the left lane to pass someone and being behind someone even slower. It backs up traffic and irritates everyone behind that driver that’s ignoring the “Keep Right Except To Pass”.

So Nevada decided to get serious and passed a new law that went into effect on July 1, according to The Drive. It makes it illegal to drive below the speed limit in the left lane. It’s not supposed to encourage speeding but to help keep traffic moving and the road rage to a minimum. Three people were cited in July. The first offense is a $50 ticket, the second is $100, and the third is $250. Do you hope a law like this gets passes in your state?

This week Katie’s guest is 11-year-old Chase Johnson and his 300 horsepower Pro Mod Camaro on PowerNation. Chase and his dad will share how he started racing Go Karts at the age of 5. He moved into Quarter Midgets and won 33 wins last year alone! Now he’s moved up to the Pro Mod division and at the time we taped this story, he had already placed in the top 3. It’s an amazing story you have to see this weekend on PowerNation.
