Ferrari Owner Wrecks Only An Hour After Buying It

Have you purchased something pricey and then lose it later? It sucks. But imagine you drop $288,000 on a Ferrari F430 Scuderia and then crash it an hour later. Makes you cringe, doesn’t it? That’s exactly what happened to a United Kingdom resident, according to Yahoo.

The South Yorkshire Police are calling it a “miracle escape”. If you don’t believe it just look at the crash aftermath. The driver walked away from the scene with only minor cuts and bruises after the vehicle left the road and burst into flames. The driver explained that he was in a Ferrari. He went on to explain that he had just bought it an hour ago. Police have said they don’t believe excess speed was a contributory factor in this collision, according to CNBC. Unfortunately, as you can probably guess, the car doesn’t seem to stand a chance of being salvaged. It’s said that there are less than 500 Scuds ever made. The F430 can move 0-60 in 3.3 seconds, with a top reported speed of 198 mph. Our condolences go to the driver for a heck of a loss but we’re glad he’s okay.

This week on PowerNation Katie’s guest is 11-year-old Chase Johnson and his 300 horsepower Pro Mod Camaro. Chase and his dad Andy will share how he started racing Go Karts at the age of 5 and was winning! He moved into Quarter Midgets and continued to win, 33 wins just last year alone! Now he’s moved up to the Pro Mod division and at the time we taped this story, he had already placed in the top 3. It’s an amazing story you have to see this weekend on PowerNation.
