Dominos And Ford Are Teaming Up To Get You Pizza

It’s no surprise that food companies are now teaming up with car companies to create autonomous food delivery vehicles. For decades, pizza delivery always involved having someone walk up to your door to deliver your pizza but with autonomous cars, that day may soon be gone.

Domino’s has announced that it’s teamed up with Ford to create the world’s first self-driving pizza delivery car in Ann Arbor, Michigan. If a customer agrees to participate, they’ll be able to use an upgraded, GPS-powered version of the Domino’s Tracker. When their order gets close, they’ll get a text message with a code they can use to retrieve their pizza from a “Domino’s Heatwave Compartment” through the car’s rear window. Obviously, this is still in research and development, but it’s not far-fetched to say that autonomous pizza delivery services will be the future. What do you think about it?
