Schwartz '81 Trans Am

Monday August 4th, 2014 / 11:57 AM

On PowerNation this week we continue our summer marathon of brand new shows, plus Courtney will tell you how to win a Camaro! In the studio is a killer twin turbo 1300 horse ’81 Trans Am built by Jeff Schwartz of Schwartz Performance, who is Courtney’s guest this week. He’s also building the Raybestos ’71 Camaro G-Machine, an R-S Camaro R with a Pro a Touring theme, which means it’ll run great on the highway or the track. It rides on a Schwartz Performance full G-Machine chassis with a 700 horsepower LS-3 with an SLP Supercharger and Tremec 6 speed tranny. All that power will stop with a full Raybestos brake package including their new Element-3 hybrid pads. It will have a twin snorkel hood, more aggressive rear spoiler, a low stance and roll on Forgeline Wheels and BFG rubber. And it’s going to be red! To give you an idea of the quality of work Jeff and his team does, check out the ’81 Trans Am called “Full Force”. It has full Schwartz Performance G-Machine chassis under it with a forced induction engine; in this case two twin turbo chargers from Turbomatics. It has a Bowler transmission and Moser rear end and Forgeline Wheels. It was Popular Hot Rodding’s Muscle Car of The Year last year. It’s a full block of how-to and contest information so make sure you tune in. You can enter for a chance to win the Raybestos ’71 Camaro G-Machine at Raybestos Garage Dot Com. Check it all out on PowerNation this week!
