"Adrenaline" on PowerNation

The Ring Brothers are back on PowerNation with their latest creation, a 1971 De Tomaso Pantera called “Adrenaline”! Mike and Jim Ring travel in from their shop Spring Green, WI and join Courtney to detail the build of this wild custom and very yellow sports car. Owner Cheryl Brickle from Madison, Wisconsin has a highway striping company, so the car had to be yellow, in this case, BASF Yellow. The team has 4000 man hours in the build including extensive body work and classic Ring Brother’s style runs throughout. They widened the car 6 inches to accommodate the HRE Wheels and Nitto Tires. The guys caught some grief over the engine choice; an LS-3 done by Wagner Motorsports that makes 500 horsepower to the rear wheels. But it fit the space and the budget and runs great, which is all that counts. The interior was designed by Nike…yes Nike the athletic shoe maker. Half black, half yellow and done in leather, this wild upholstery compliments the car. Plus since Nike was born in 1971 and the Ring Brothers were updating the ’71 Pantera, Nike decided to update their first shoe from '71 to go with the car. Owner Cheryl is auctioning off both the shoes and the car at Barrett Jackson in January. The auction of the shoes will benefit the fight against cancer.
